Increase in CON capital expenditure minimum

Pursuant to W.Va. Code § 16-2D-3(a)(3), the Authority is required to adjust the expenditure minimum annually and publish an update of the amount on or before December 31 of each year. The expenditure minimum adjustment shall be based on the DRI inflation index published in the Global Insight DRI/WEFA Health Care Cost Review. The DRI inflation index as of December 31, 2016 is 2.0%.

The capital expenditure minimum for calendar year 2017 is $5,100,000.

Pursuant to W.Va. Code § 16-2D-11(c)(1), the Authority is required to adjust the dollar amount for a computed tomography scanner that is installed in a private office practice where at minimum seventy-five percent of the scans are for the patients of the practice and the fair market value of the installation and purchase is less than $250,000 for calendar year 2016. The Authority shall adjust the dollar amount specified in the subdivision annually and publish an update of the amount on or before December 31 of each year. The expenditure minimum adjustment shall be based on the DRI inflation index published in the Global Insight DRI/WEFA Health Care Cost Review. The DRI inflation index as of December 31, 2016 is 0.8%.

The capital expenditure minimum for calendar year 2017 is $252,000.​
